Conference Facilitator - Ian Cousins - Gold Coast

Conference Facilitator

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing organisations put into practice strategies created at a conference and achieving their goals because of those particular discussions. As a conference facilitator, Ian operates as your link – a coordinator who attracts practical and engaging discussions so that you maximise your return on your conference investment.

Coming from a radio presenting background, Ian knows how to be versatile and confidently steer discussions toward insightful outcomes as well as ensuring a timely program is adhered to. An accomplished conference facilitator, Ian’s recent clients include the Queensland Government and Zarraffa’s Coffee. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Gold Coast Community Fund and the President of the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards. Ian is an experienced presenter with the passion to read and understand the mood of participants and, when needed, shift the mood of a conference by infusing light humour and flair.

Ian values the planning phases of every event and is often introduced early to assist with event programs, scripting and establishing flow. Ian strives to ensure participants establish new and clear insights to take away, construct goals and action plans to apply following the conference, and outline methods on how to apply the knowledge gained to achieve those goals.

Testimonials:

2011 Zarraffa’s National Franchise Conference

Recently, Ian performed the duty of Conference facilitator for our 2011 Zarraffa’s National Franchise Conference.

Ian showed exceptional dedication to this role from the very beginning, by attending pre-event meetings to gain a greater understanding of the business and to ensure he had captured our vision for the event. Ian was extremely engaging with our audience and his organization and preparation was evident. He was extremely well received by franchisees, suppliers and Zarraffa’s Head Office staff.

Zarraffa’s Coffee is extremely grateful for Ian’s contribution to this event and for his dedication to ensure not only that the conference ran smoothly but we as a group achieve our ultimate conference goals.

The Southport School Foundation

I have known Ian Cousins for a number of years, however I have been working particularly close with him during the past 12 months, as he is MC at The Southport School Foundation Business Breakfast, of which I am the Chair.

I have been consistently impressed with Ian’s attitude, enthusiasm, and performance on the actual day, as well as his researching in preparation for the morning. He offers his services to the school for the morning on a voluntary basis of which is wonderful and assists us to raise further monies for our Foundation Scholarship Programs. His interpersonal and communication skills allow him to manage the morning with confidence and ease.

It has been a pleasure to have Ian working with us and I would not hesitate recommending him for similar roles.
